We are continually updating our Covid 19 protocols and cleaning procedures to comply with ongoing changes to government guidance and these will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.

OPERATING OUR BUSINESS SAFELY

  • We have reduced the number of tables and chairs in the pubs, restaurants and outdoor areas to meet Government guidelines.
  • All guests must be booked onto a table (even for a drink) and remain seated at all times.
  • Bookings are limited to 2 households or a max of 6 guests per table
  • All guests are requested to download the NHS Test & Trace App if possible before arrival.
  • Guests must then ‘check in’ via the NHS QR code or the name and contact details will be taken for EVERY guest over 16 who does not have the NHS App.
  • Full ‘socially distanced’ table service outdoors (and indoors when permitted)
  • We have disposable food menus.
  • We have reduced the size of the food and drink offer to help with social distancing in the kitchen
  • We have disposable salt, pepper and other condiments
  • We have a 5 star food safety rating in all of our pubs which helps with covid safety
  • We have Covid risk assessments for all of our businesses
  • All of our Front of House Team will wear face coverings (unless they have a medical exemption.)

  • We operate a CASHLESS pub – WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE CASH – card payments only please

 

CLEANING

  • All pubs have undergone an extensive deep clean before reopening.
  • We have enhanced cleaning procedures throughout the pub using approved sanitisers complying with BSEN 1276.
  • We have more regular and detailed cleaning of all work surfaces and touchpoints throughout the day.
  • All tables and chairs are thoroughly sanitised between guests.
  • Hand sanitiser is available in multiple places in every business.

 

OUR TEAM

  • Each member of our team has undergone detailed Covid Safety training before returning to work.
  • All of our front of house team will be wearing masks – even outdoors (unless they have a medical exemption.)
  • We have pre-shift briefings to refresh safety measures with the team every day.
  • Each member of the team is required to complete a Covid safety survey before every shift.

BOOKING TABLES

  • We strongly recommend that you book a table in advance as we have limited capacity due to social distancing requirements and only being able to take bookings outdoors until 17th May 2021.
  • You will need a booking to enjoy our food or even to have a drink in the garden or pub.
  • We have a team of people dedicated to taking telephone bookings (and giving advice on our Covid procesdures) from Mon 12th April and an online booking system on our web site.
  • Whilst we recommend that you book – you can take your chances and turn up to book a table at the door, if we have any available.
  • We have removed tables and reduced the capacity to ensure that we comply with government guidelines on social distancing.
  • Guests will be requested to ‘scan in’ using the NHS QR code at the entrance to the pub or garden.
  • Guests who do not have the NHS App or a smartphone will have to provide their name and contact details to assist with the NHS Test & Trace scheme and we are required to retain these details for 21 days.
  • You can book tables of up to 6 people online (subject to availability)
  • Each booking will be allocated a ‘standard’ time at the table as we have allocated time between each siting to thoroughly sanitise the tables and chairs.
  • Please ensure that you book a table for all the people in your party – including all children as children of any age count towards the rule of 6.
  • Due to our social distancing requirements it may not be possible to add people / children on to a table on the day

 

ARRIVING AT THE PUB

  • Please DO NOT turn up if….. 1)You feel unwell…. or 2) You have experienced any Covid symptoms in the last 7 days…. or 3) Anyone in your household has experienced Covid symptoms in the last 7 days…. or 4) You have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days
  • Please arrive on time and please DO NOT turn up before your booking time. We are really sorry…. but all guests must remain seated and there is no ‘waiting area’ if you arrive early and your table is not ready.
  • You will be required to wear a face covering (unless exempt) at all times when inside the pub.
  • You will be asked to use hand sanitiser when you enter the pub gardens or pub, and there are various hand sanitising units throughout the pub and gardens.
  • Each pub will have one ‘entry point’ and one or more exit points.
  • You will be asked to join a socially distanced queue outside the pub while we check you in

 

OUR OUTDOOR AREAS

  • Please remember that social distancing guidelines apply outside too.
  • All tables that can be booked in advance will be covered to protect you from the rain but we will not be heating the outdoor areas so please wrap up warm!!
  • You will need to be booked onto a table outside (subject to availability) and we will need contact details for every guest over 16.
  • Outside, only 2 households can sit together and if there are more than 2 households the maximum table size is 6.
  • Please stay at your table. We will take your order for all food and drinks (even in the garden) and bring it to your table. We are not able to serve people indoors.
  • Please do not go into the pub unless you need to use the toilets (or to gain access to the garden where required).
  • You will be required to wear a face covering at all times whilst indoors (unless exempt)
  • Please stay seated….. guests are not allowed to ‘mingle’ or mix households.
  • Please keep any children seated at the table with you.
  • You will be given a single use / disposable food menu – please feel free to take them with you if you like. Our drinks menus are too long to have as a disposable option, but we sanitise our drinks menus regularly and they are available online and on our Chilled Pubs App.
  • Our condiments will be single use sachets wherever possible.
  • We will provide our usual ‘warm and friendly service’ – but just socially distanced and our teams will try to keep the number of visits to your table to a minimum, whilst still ensuring that you have everything that you need.
  • We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.

TOILETS

  •  Between 12th April and 16th May 2021 guests will only be allowed indoors to access the toilets.
  • Please respect social distancing when entering / leaving the toilets
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly …… AND….. use the hand sanitiser provided
  • Signage will be displayed in the toilets reminding customers about hand-washing frequency and technique
  • Our toilets will be cleaned and sanitised regularly
  • Please supervise children when they visit the toilet.

 

OUR GARDENS & TERRACES

  • As the Great British weather is unpredictable please wrap up warm and bring an umbrella as not all of our tables are under cover.
  • You will still need to be booked onto a table outside (subject to availability) and we will still need contact details for every household.
  • Outside, more than 2 households can sit together but if there are more than 2 households the maximum table size is 6.
  • Please remember that social distancing guidelines apply outside too.
  • All drinks and food will be brought to your table so please do not go into the pub unless you need to use the toilets
  • We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.

 

AT THE TABLE (indoors – after 17th May 2021)

  • You will need to be booked onto a table outside even for a drink in the pub and we will need contact details for every guest over 16 unless they have each scanned in using the NHS QR code at the entrance.
  • Only 2 households can sit together or if there are more than 2 households the maximum table size is 6.
  • You will be required to wear a face covering (unless exempt) whilst indoors unless seated at a table and consuming food or drinks.
  • Please stay at your table. We will take your order for all food and drinks and bring it to your table.
  • You will not be allowed to stand or order at the bar.
  • Please stay seated….. guests are not allowed to ‘mingle’ even if you see someone you know. Please keep any children seated at the table with you.
  • You will be given a single use / disposable food menu – please feel free to take them with you if you like. Our drinks menus are too long to have as a disposable option, but we sanitise our drinks menus regularly and they are available online and on our Chilled Pubs App.
  • Our condiments will be single use sachets wherever possible.
  • We will provide our usual ‘warm and friendly service’ – but just socially distanced and our teams will try to keep the number of visits to your table to a minimum, whilst still ensuring that you have everything that you need.
  • We will be opening as many windows and doors as possible to increase ventilation indoors so please bring an extra layer/jumper.
  • We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.
